Vanilla Amber Candle

Our most-loved scent. Madagascan vanilla sits at the heart, rounded with amber resin and a base of tonka bean that lingers long after the flame is out. Poured into recyclable amber glass that throws a honeyed glow across the room. Each candle is hand-poured in small batches and cured for two weeks, so the scent has time to bind with the wax before it reaches you.

Burn for 2–3 hours the first time, until the melt pool reaches the edge. Trim the wick to 5 mm before every light, never burn for more than 4 hours at a stretch, and stop when 1 cm of wax remains. Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Every candle is poured by hand, cured for two weeks, then checked before it is packed. Natural soy wax can show a light frosting or wet-look patches against the glass, and hand-glazed ceramics vary in colour and speckle. Neither affects how the candle burns — they are the clearest sign that a person made it, not a machine. Photographs are taken in natural light; screens vary.
