Choosing a size, and making it last
Every size is poured from the same blend, so the choice comes down to the room and how long you want the scent to stay with you. The first burn matters more than the size — two hours then saves you ten later.
Sizes and burn times
| Size | Burn time | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| 120 g | up to 25 hrs | Bedside tables, bathrooms and first-time gifting |
| 220 g | up to 45 hrs | Living rooms and studies — our best-selling size |
| 380 g | up to 70 hrs | Open-plan spaces, or a scent you want to last the season |
Burn times are measured in 3-hour sessions with the wick trimmed to 5 mm. Draughts and longer burns shorten them.
Getting the most from your candle
The first burn
Let the whole surface melt
- 1. Burn for 2–3 hours the first time you light it.
- 2. Wait until the melt pool reaches the edge of the vessel.
- 3. This sets the memory ring and prevents tunnelling.
Every burn after
Trim, light, extinguish
- 1. Trim the wick to 5 mm before each light.
- 2. Never burn for more than 4 hours at a stretch.
- 3. Snuff rather than blow, so the wax keeps its scent.
- 4. Stop when 1 cm of wax remains in the base.
Never leave a burning candle unattended, and keep it away from curtains, children and pets.
