These terms apply when you use mittimelt.com and when you buy from Mitti Melt Candle Co. ("Mitti Melt", "we", "us"), Pune, Maharashtra, India. By placing an order you accept them, together with our Shipping Policy, Return & Exchange Policy and Privacy Policy.

1. Using the site

You must be 18 or older to place an order, or shop with a parent or guardian's involvement. Please give accurate contact and delivery details. If you create an account, keep your password private; you are responsible for orders placed from your account.

2. Our candles

Every candle is hand-poured in small batches, so small differences are part of the product and not defects. Natural wax can show a light frosting or wet spots against the glass, and hand-glazed ceramics vary in colour and speckle. Photographs are taken in natural light and screens vary. Fragrance strength depends on room size and airflow.

3. Prices

Prices are in Indian Rupees and include GST. Shipping and any cash-on-delivery fee are shown at checkout before you pay. We may change prices at any time, but the price you see when you place your order is the price you pay. If a product is listed at an obviously wrong price because of an error, we may cancel that order and refund you in full.

4. Orders

Your order is an offer to buy. It is accepted when we confirm it. We may decline or cancel an order, with a full refund of anything paid, if an item is unavailable, a price or description is wrong, delivery to the address is not possible, or the order appears fraudulent.

5. Payment

You can pay online through our payment partner or, where offered, by cash on delivery. Cash on delivery is available within the order-value limits shown at checkout. An online order that is not paid within the time shown at checkout may be cancelled automatically.

6. Shipping

Delivery times and charges are set out in our Shipping Policy. Delivery estimates are not guaranteed: courier delays, weather and other events outside our control can affect them. Risk in the parcel passes to you on delivery.

7. Cancellations, returns and refunds

You can cancel an order before it is dispatched by contacting us. Returns and refunds are covered by our Return & Exchange Policy: if a candle arrives damaged or is not what you expected, tell us within 7 days of delivery. Lit candles, made-to-order and personalised items cannot be returned unless they arrive damaged or defective. Approved refunds are made to the original payment method.

8. Custom and made-to-order pieces

Custom orders are made to the specification we agree with you, and the lead time is confirmed before you pay. Because they are made for you, they cannot be cancelled once production has started.

9. Candle safety

Read and follow the safety instructions on every label. Never leave a burning candle unattended, keep it away from children, pets, draughts and anything that can catch fire, burn it on a heat-resistant surface, trim the wick before each use and stop burning when about 1 cm of wax remains. We are not responsible for loss or damage caused by not following these instructions.

10. Coupons and offers

Coupons and offers are subject to their stated conditions, cannot be exchanged for cash and may be withdrawn at any time. Only one coupon can be used per order unless stated otherwise.

11. Reviews and content you send us

Reviews must be honest and about a product you have used. We may decline or remove reviews that are abusive, unlawful or unrelated. By submitting a review you allow us to display it on our site.

12. Intellectual property

The Mitti Melt name, logo, photographs, product designs and text on this site belong to us. You may not copy or use them commercially without our written permission.

13. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under Indian law. Otherwise, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

14. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the courts at Pune, Maharashtra, without affecting your right to approach a consumer forum.

15. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force when you place an order applies to that order.
