Blended with pure lavender and chamomile essential oils, this is the candle we light an hour before bed. Bergamot keeps it fresh rather than powdery, so it never feels heavy in a small room. Poured into a white ceramic cup flecked by hand with indigo glaze, finished with a slow-burning wooden wick.

Wooden wicks crackle softly — that is the wick, not a fault. Trim to 3 mm and snap away any charred wood before each light. Burn for 2–3 hours the first time so the whole surface melts. Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Every candle is poured by hand, cured for two weeks, then checked before it is packed. Natural soy wax can show a light frosting or wet-look patches against the glass, and hand-glazed ceramics vary in colour and speckle. Neither affects how the candle burns — they are the clearest sign that a person made it, not a machine. Photographs are taken in natural light; screens vary.
