A quiet, grown-up rose. Damask rose petals are softened by the dry warmth of rosewood and grounded with Atlas cedar, so it reads as elegant rather than sweet. Poured into a hand-thrown ceramic cup that is glazed on the outside and left raw at the base — every one is slightly different. Once the candle is finished, the cup is yours for keeps.

Wooden wicks crackle softly — that is the wick, not a fault. Trim to 3 mm and snap away any charred wood before each light. Burn for 2–3 hours the first time so the whole surface melts. Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Every candle is poured by hand, cured for two weeks, then checked before it is packed. Natural soy wax can show a light frosting or wet-look patches against the glass, and hand-glazed ceramics vary in colour and speckle. Neither affects how the candle burns — they are the clearest sign that a person made it, not a machine. Photographs are taken in natural light; screens vary.
